Netrikann Movie Trailer:

Netrikann Movie Review:

Netrikan‘ seems to be a typical thriller film. That is, most of the thriller films made to date have the same concept. A Psycho Villain. Who commits all crimes in dim red and yellow light. Wears a black hoodie. Well, in ‘Netrikan‘, the thriller film Anand does not appear anywhere during the entire film. Some scenes seem to be stretched like elastic. Background score plays a very important role in a good thriller film, but ‘Netrikan”s background score is completely lifeless. Some sequences in the film are very cliché and illogical.

The music of the film is good by Girish Gopalakrishnan. But it is unnecessary. Which would have been better if it was used only in promotion instead of film. Because the songs that come in the middle of the film destroy even the slightest thrill arising in the mind. Even half of the people can easily predict the ending of the film. But despite all these shortcomings, the film does not bore. It is not much fun but the expectation of fun remains.

Acting and Direction:

Nayantara is in the lead role of Durga in the film. Nayantara’s acting in the film manages to keep the audience hooked to the end of the film. If you look at the body language of a blind girl, then there seems to be a flaw. But since the character has been shown to have smart senses, then here he can give ‘Benefit of Doubt’. In the rest of the eyes, the stability he has maintained throughout the film is commendable. Manikandan Achari has played the role of Police Inspector Manikandan. This character is well written. A naive type of underdog police officer. Manikandan has portrayed this character equally well. In the film, this character is successful in both laughing and crying.

Ajmal Amir has become the villain of the film. Ajmal fails to play the role of a nerdy criminal. His attempt to portray this intense character with the help of basic facial expressions falls short on the whole. Apart from repeating the villainous gestures of some old English films, he fails to reinvent the character from his side. The film is directed by Milind Rau. There doesn’t seem to be anything special in Milind’s direction. No scene in Rajasekhar’s cinematography should be discussed separately.

See or Not:

Netrikann‘ does not do justice to the suspense thriller genre. Nayantara and Manikandan Achari try their best to keep this sinking ship afloat till the end. But due to the film’s worn story, breathless background score, and loopholes like excessive length, in the end, the ship sinks.

Netrikann Movie Rating:

  • 3 / 5 ( ⭐️⭐️⭐️ )
