Kookie Gulati, director of the Abhishek Bachchan starrer film ‘The Big Bull‘ released on Disney Plus Hotstar, has taken a strange decision during the course of filmmaking … he is a robbery, loud laughing stockbroker played by actor Bachchan To show the character Hemant Shah as the messiah of the people. The film is based on the 1992 stock market scandal by Harshad Mehta. But much creative freedom has also been taken here. However, its comparison to the popular web series ‘Scam 1992’ directed by Hansal Mehta cannot be stopped.

In ‘The Big Bull‘ Kookie Gulati has changed the name of her character to Hemant Shah, there are many things in this film that it is known that Kookie Gulati had creative freedom as well as many brands, which Hansal Mehta Could not gather, However, Kookie Gulati could not take advantage of it properly.

The character played by Hemant Shah, Abhishek Bachchan was made the messiah of the public. A lot of the duration of the film was fired by Kookie Gulati to make the audience aware of the methods of Hemant. Hemant is a Gujarati who lives in Mumbai but cannot speak Gujarati at all. He is spending a middle-class life in a chawl in Mumbai with his mother (Supriya Pathak) and brother (Soham Shah), but his intentions are skyrocketing.

Hemant comes up with an idea to repay his brother’s debt and impress his girlfriend’s father. Under which No steps into the world of stocks and shares. He gets warnings and criticism at times, but Hemant’s dreams of becoming rich as soon as possible dominate. With the help of insider trading, a faulty banking system, and corrupt officials, he reaches the top but soon he falls.

Talk about performance, the cast of ‘The Big Bull‘ includes great actors. But Kookie Gulati is not able to do full justice to the cast. Abhishek Bachchan has made a lot of effort in the character of Hemant Shah, he looked fantastic in some places and even disappointed. Soham Shah in the role of Viren Shah, Supriya Pathak in the role of the mother seems to be right. But the scope was not found in his characters under the direction. Also in the role of a journalist, Ileana D’Cruz plays her tenant. The film also stars actors like Ram Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Sameer Soni, but he appears in a few scenes.

Director Kookie Gulati has tried to cover the long story of Hemant Shah in two and a half hours. Because of this, many scenes of the film seem to have been made in a hurry. Important scenes of the film are also not shown effectively. At the same time, the romantic song seems very tasteless in the middle of an intense political sequence. Its star cast is definitely strong, but when they come in the film and when they leave, it is not known.
